How Your Donation Can Make a Difference
Every contribution, no matter the size, can significantly impact the life of a young Kenyan girl. Our vision is that each girl is paired with a sponsor (donor) who will follow and support them throughout their education journey. Here’s how your generosity can make a difference.
HIGH SCHOOL GIRL’S EDUCATION IN BOARDING SCHOOL
- $600 – pays for school fees for 1 full year for one girl in boarding school
- $200 – pays for 1 year of health supplies, ie toilet paper, toothpaste, sanitary pads etc. PLUS
- and transportation to/ from school to home when needed
- and uniforms, shoes, underwear when needed
- and afternoon bread snack, extra snack during exam times
- and miscellaneous/ emergency fund
- $50 – 1 year of health supplies (as described above)
100% of money raised goes to the girls’ education/needs
UNIVERSITY GIRL’S EDUCATION
- $1800- $2600- covers all University expenses for one student for one full academic year; University fees vary depending on tuition, accommodation, course of study pursued, University attended, etc.
- $200-300– covers one full year of technology/ internet needs, photocopying, health supplies ($50 as outlined above), transportation to/ from University 2-3 x’s/year, minor medical and dental emergencies
- $300-$400– covers one full year of food costs per housing situation
Due to political, financial, economic, and social crises, the Kenyan government has almost tripled University fees and housing costs for entering Freshmen (first year) students. In 2024, some estimate over 100,000 students were forced to leave their studies. Despite these challenges, we currently support six girls in university, with a seventh soon to join.
